Flexibility

We provide our authors with flexibility in the format of their manuscripts. Your article does not need to adhere to a strict structure. While all manuscripts require essential elements, we do not impose any limits on the length of the article or the number of tables and figures. Ceniiac is a daily publication that publishes one volume per year (Template_Ceniiac).

Publication Fees and Open Access

Ceniiac is a fully open-access journal. Once published, your article will be immediately and permanently available for readers to read, download, and share. For information on Article Processing Charges, please visit the following link (APC).

General Notes

Types of Articles

Our scope is inclusive; Ceniiac publishes articles covering any discipline within Applied Social Sciences. We welcome the submission of manuscripts that:

• Report original primary research results (positive or negative),
• Describe new methods or other research tools,
• Introduce new datasets,
• Report novel cases,
• Analyze existing data, or
• Present innovative ideas through systematic analysis or review-type articles.

Language

Manuscripts are accepted in English. If written in English, either American or British English is acceptable, but mixing both is not permitted. Manuscripts that mix American and British spelling, terminology, or style will be returned for linguistic revision prior to peer review. Articles will not receive full copyediting before publication. If you believe your manuscript would benefit from editing, consider using an editing service before submission to ensure clarity and error-free writing.

Use of Inclusive Language

Inclusive language acknowledges diversity, conveys respect to all people, is sensitive to differences, and promotes equal opportunities.

Content should not:

• Assume the beliefs or commitments of any reader,
• Contain anything implying that one individual is superior to another based-on age, gender, race, ethnicity, culture, sexual orientation, disability, or health status.

Authors should ensure their writing is free of bias, stereotypes, jargon, dominant cultural references, and cultural assumptions. We advise maintaining gender neutrality by using plural nouns ("clinicians, patients/clients") whenever possible to avoid "he/she" or "he or she."

Avoid using descriptors referencing personal attributes like age, sex, race, ethnicity, culture, sexual orientation, disability, or health status unless relevant and valid.

When describing racial and ethnic identities, capitalize them (e.g., African American, Asian, Black, Caucasian, Latino, White) and use them as adjectives (e.g., Black scientists, Latino clinicians) rather than nouns (e.g., Asians).

These guidelines serve as a reference but are not exhaustive or definitive.

Cover Letter

A cover letter is not mandatory since we collect all essential information during submission. However, you may provide a cover letter with any additional details you would like us to consider, such as suggested or excluded editors and reviewers.

Manuscript Organization

We do not have strict formatting requirements, but all manuscripts should include essential elements to effectively convey the content within clearly defined sections:

• Title
• Abstract
• Keywords
• Introduction
• Materials and Methods
• Results
• Discussion and/or Conclusions
• Figures and Tables with captions
• Any required supplementary material

The text should be in a single-column format, and the layout should be as simple as possible (Template_Ceniiac).

Title

Provide a concise and informative title with no more than 20 words. Titles are often used in information retrieval systems, so your choice may affect how easily readers find your article.

Authors

Include all authors involved in the research and highlight the corresponding author. The names of the authors and their affiliations have been provided, and one author has been designated as the corresponding author.

Abbreviations

Define all abbreviations upon first use.

Abstract

The abstract should briefly state the research purpose, main results, and principal conclusions. Since abstracts are often presented as standalone text, avoid references and abbreviations. The abstract can be read as a standalone text and does not exceed 250 words.

Keywords

Include 3 to 10 keywords.

Introduction

Provide appropriate background information without an extensive literature review and clearly establish your research objectives.

Theory (if applicable)

A theory section should expand, not repeat, background information from the introduction and provide the foundation for subsequent work.

Materials and Methods

Clearly justify your methodology selection and provide a precise description of procedures and materials. The level of detail should be sufficient for replication. Previously published methods should be referenced rather than described in detail.

Results

Present results clearly and concisely, with insightful analysis and well-selected graphical representations.

Discussion

The discussion should explore the significance and implications of findings, reference related studies, and suggest future research directions. It should not merely repeat the results section. If appropriate, results and discussion may be combined. Include study limitations.

Conclusions (optional)

Summarize the main findings in a separate conclusions section or as a subsection of discussion/results.

Acknowledgments

List acknowledgments in a separate section before references.

Declarations

All necessary declarations have been made.

References

Ensure references are complete, accurate, relevant, and up to date. All references cited in the text are listed in the reference section and vice versa. The document has been written and formatted in accordance with APA 7th edition guidelines, ensuring proper citation of sources and reference formatting.

Formatting

While we do not enforce strict formatting for references at submission, we strongly encourage including DOIs to ensure citations are trackable. References can follow any style as long as it remains consistent.

Citations in Text

Ensure all references cited in the text appear in the reference list and vice versa.

Figure Captions and Tables

• Provide figure captions at the end of the manuscript.
• Submit tables in an editable format rather than as images.

Editorial Procedures

Peer Review

Ceniiac follows a double-anonymized peer review process. The editor is responsible for the final decision on manuscript acceptance or rejection (Read more).

Decisions

There are three possible decisions:

• Accept: The study meets all publication criteria.
• Invitation to Revise: Revisions are required to meet all criteria.
• Reject: The study does not meet key criteria and is unlikely to be improved with additional work.

Appeals

If you believe the editorial decision was based on factual errors, you may appeal. Provide detailed reasoning for your appeal, which will be reviewed by the handling editor (Read more).

Post-Acceptance

Proof Corrections

The corresponding author will receive proofing instructions via email. Corrections should be submitted within 24 hours.

Availability of Accepted Articles

Accepted articles will be available online as soon as possible, assigned a DOI, and fully citable.

Use of AI and AI-Assisted Technologies in Scientific Writing

Authors using AI-assisted technologies must follow these guidelines:

• AI should only enhance language clarity and comprehension, not replace critical research tasks like data interpretation or drawing conclusions.
• AI usage must be supervised by humans, with content carefully reviewed and edited.
• AI should not be listed as an author or co-author.
• AI usage must be disclosed in the manuscript in a "Declaration on the Use of AI and AI-Assisted Technologies" section.

If AI was not used, no declaration is needed.
