Ceniiac Journal Crossmark Policy Statement

At Ceniiac JournalISSN 3105-6237 — we safeguard the scholarly record through transparent mechanisms for retractions, corrections, editorial notices, and post-publication discussion. We also highlight the role of Crossmark (Crossref) to help readers verify the current status of an item after publication.

Crossmark — Check for updates

Crossmark: How readers check for updates

Crossmark provides a standard way to locate the most current version of a publication. When readers click the Crossmark button (on the article page or inside the PDF), they can see whether the content has been corrected, updated, or retracted after publication, and access related editorial information.

How to report a concern

Authors, reviewers, and readers may report potential issues with published content by emailing our editorial office at journal@ceniiac.com. Please include the article title, DOI (if available), a link to the content, a clear description of the concern, and supporting evidence when possible.

When content may be updated after publication

We may issue post-publication updates when editorial or ethical reasons justify changes that affect interpretation, attribution, or reliability (e.g., corrections, clarifications, expressions of concern, new versions/editions, partial retractions, retractions, withdrawals, or removals). Our practices follow recognized standards for publication integrity (including COPE guidance).

Minor changes vs. significant editorial updates

  • Minor changes (e.g., small spelling fixes or formatting adjustments that do not affect metadata or interpretation) may be applied directly to the content without notifying Crossref.
  • Significant editorial updates (changes likely to affect interpretation or credit and typically requiring a separate public notice) require registering an updated metadata record for the new notice/version linked to the original DOI (Crossref “updates” / Crossmark).

Recognized update types

For significant editorial updates, Ceniiac Journal may register and display one of the following update types:

Appendix Clarification Correction Erratum Expression of Concern New Edition New Version Partial Retraction Removal Retraction Withdrawal

Retractions

Articles containing serious errors, fraud, or ethical misconduct may be retracted in accordance with COPE Retraction Guidelines. When a retraction is issued, we also update the article’s status through Crossmark where applicable.

  • Retracted articles typically remain accessible with a clear retraction notice displayed prominently.
  • In exceptional cases (e.g., legal or safety constraints), content may be replaced with a retraction notice while preserving the record.
  • Authors and affiliations are notified prior to publication of the retraction notice whenever feasible.

Corrections and errata

We accept correction requests for errors that do not invalidate the study’s conclusions. If the correction is significant, we publish a formal notice and register the update as appropriate so that readers can see the status via Crossmark.

  • Erratum: Typographical or minor post-publication errors.
  • Correction: Errors in data, references, or methods requiring clarification.

Comments and post-publication discussion

We encourage structured scholarly debate. Post-publication comments are reviewed by the Editorial Committee prior to publication, and the original authors may be invited to respond to support transparent academic dialogue.

Update policy and Crossmark compliance

As part of Crossmark participation, Ceniiac Journal maintains a public Update Policy page that is assigned a DOI and registered with Crossref. This policy explains our editorial checks prior to publication, ethical standards for authors and reviewers, reporting channels for concerns, and how we handle corrections, retractions, and other updates—while ensuring the original record remains traceable.
