Digital Preservation

Ceniiac JournalISSN 3105-6237 — is committed to the long-term preservation and accessibility of its entire digital collection. To ensure uninterrupted access to all published content, we implement robust digital preservation strategies through the PKP Preservation Network (PKP-PN) and complementary technical safeguards.

1. PKP Preservation Network (PKP-PN)

Ceniiac Journal participates in the PKP Preservation Network, an initiative by the Public Knowledge Project (PKP) designed to ensure long-term digital preservation for journals operating on the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform. PKP-PN is especially valuable for journals not affiliated with CLOCKSS or Portico.

2. Complementary Preservation Strategies

  • DOI Assignment via Crossref: All articles are assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) through Crossref, ensuring their discoverability, citability, and persistent access across scholarly databases.
  • Regular Internal Backups: We conduct periodic backups of the platform and its content on secure servers to prevent data loss and preserve content integrity.

3. Long-Term Access Policy

  • All articles published in Ceniiac Journal will remain permanently accessible through our platform and affiliated preservation systems.
  • In the event of journal discontinuation, content will remain accessible through PKP-PN and academic repositories in which it has been deposited.

4. Access to Preserved Content

Preserved content can be accessed through:

  • Our OJS-based publishing platform.
  • Academic repositories where our content is archived.
  • The PKP Preservation Network and other digital preservation infrastructures in which we participate.

Ceniiac Journal reaffirms its commitment to safeguarding academic content and promoting open access by ensuring the uninterrupted availability of scientific publications for current and future generations.
