Review Process
At Ceniiac Journal — ISSN 3105-6237 — we ensure the quality and rigor of published articles through a double-anonymized peer review process, meaning that both authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the evaluation. This method guarantees fairness and objectivity in manuscript assessment.
Stages of the Peer Review Process
1. Manuscript Submission
Authors must submit their work through our online editorial platform: Ceniiac Submission System. We recommend reviewing the Author Guidelines before submission to ensure compliance with editorial requirements (Template_Ceniiac).
2. Initial Editorial Review
The editorial team conducts a preliminary assessment to verify that the manuscript:
- Aligns with the journal’s scope and objectives.
- Meets formatting and academic quality standards.
- Shows no signs of plagiarism, using similarity detection tools such as iThenticate.
If the manuscript does not meet these criteria, it may be rejected or returned to the authors for adjustments before being sent for peer review.
3. Assignment of Reviewers
Once the manuscript passes the initial review, it is assigned to two expert reviewers in the relevant field. They evaluate the article based on:
- Originality and impact of the study.
- Methodological rigor and clarity in presenting results.
- Relevance of references and coherence in argumentation.
The reviewers provide a report with comments and recommendations to improve the manuscript, using tailored review forms:
- Review Form – Academic Essay / Reflective Article
- Systematic Review Form
- Review Form – Technical Note / Editorial
- Bibliometric Review Form
- Review Form – Original Article
4. Editorial Decision
Based on the reviewers' feedback, the Editor will make one of the following decisions:
- Acceptance without changes.
- Acceptance with minor revisions.
- Major revisions required.
- Rejection.
5. Submission of Revised Version
If revisions are required, authors must resubmit the revised manuscript with a response document addressing each reviewer’s comment.
6. Second Review (if applicable)
In the case of substantial revisions, the manuscript is re-evaluated by the original reviewers or new evaluators.
7. Acceptance and Publication
Once approved, the manuscript proceeds to the editing and formatting phase before being published as an open-access article. All articles in Ceniiac Journal are available under Open Access, ensuring free access for the academic community and general public.
Ethics and Transparency in the Review Process
The journal follows the ethical editorial standards recommended by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), ensuring a transparent, fair, and conflict-free review process.
Estimated Review Timeline
The average time from manuscript submission to final decision ranges between 6 to 12 weeks, depending on the complexity of the topic and reviewer availability.
